Puppies
The students covered mainly what we did today, so I thought I would cover a little bit about the alternative service we did. Today we had some down time in the afternoon and went over to the Dallas Animal Shelter for a little bit to walk dogs. It was incredible to see how many dogs were in the facility. Many of the dogs came from hurricane Katrina. I had to ask the shelter worker if I heard him right, because I could not imagine that animals were still there from the disaster. On average 15 dogs were adopted a day and about 20 come in a week. They had a lot of Pitbulls and Chiwawas at the facility. We are going to try to go back again later this week, so others can interact with the dogs.
