One more day

It's hard to believe tomorrow is our last day of teaching.

Today we had students finish giving their presentations, which were good. We had one student do an amazing job, especially since he was the one student who did not read from his paper. He isn't usually one to leave a huge impression, but today he definitely left a mark.

After class we came back to the room and hung out. We laughed a lot and enjoyed talking about what we've done here and the people we have met.

Aft dinner, we worked on completing student evaluations, which is fun and challenging at the same time. It is challenging because we aren't assigning a grade; we are writing narrative comments in five areas: reading, writing, speaking, listening, and participation.

As I think aboutnhow close the trip is to being done, I am amazed at how fast the time went. I can't believe we've been here for two and a half weeks. It seems like it was yesterday when I was first stepping off the plane in Seoul. At the same time, the flight seems as though it was five years ago, which doesn't make sense.

This trip has been the experience of a lifetime and has provided me with some amazing classroom experiences. I have gained confidence as a teacher and have learned a lot about how to prepare real lessons and plan a curriculum. I student teach next semester, and after this experience, it is no longer a scary thought; it is exciting.
