Today was a fabulous day in the classroom! We started off the day introducing our students to nouns and used the school house rock video as a resource! The kids thought it was helpful and fun! We also had the kids act out poems which got them up and moving, as well as challenged them to be creative.
My favorite part of class today was having the students work in pairs to write a short story using five nouns we gave them. Their nuouns were penguin, spaghetti, shoes, cell phone, and school. The stories they came up with were funny and well written.
Another activity we did today, just for fun was play heads up seven up. I forgot how much fun we had playing the game as a student, and I am glad we were able to share our game with students who and never heard of it before.
We are in class from 8:40 until 2:20 this week, giving us about five hours with the students. After class we have been enjoying resting, reading, and watching movies, while preparing for the next day of class. While it's nice to have down time, I'm looking forward to the trip they are planning for us on sunday to visit Seoul and be tourists!
