Wildlife at the ranch

Heifer Ranch is in northwest Arkansas in the Ozark mountains. Definitely a hidden gem of the south. We haven't seen too much wildlife but I have spotted some vultures, a blue jay and a grey squirrel near our lodge. There are three types of poisonous snakes in this region. Let's hope they keep their distance! Yesterday I saw several butterflies on a bush near our lodge - below is a photo I snapped!

We're almost ready to go help with livestock this morning. It's lambing season on the ranch and I'm hoping we get to witness a birth!
