Sea turtles and horse backriding

  • I def have a lot of stuff to catch up on. The first thing that i have to talk about it that we got to go see sea turtles on monday the 16th which was supposed to be a free day. I was super excited for it! and when we got there they brought out a few baby turtles that they had rescued from earlier that day! It was a lot of fun to get to see them. we were even allowed to hold them. Though some of the members of our group were not fans and were very uncomfortable with the situation. After we saw and held them we went to the beach and set them free to find their way to the ocean. After that we started walking back and forth on the beach trying to find or see the mother turtles coming back to the beach. It was fun however my fun was ruined do to four people wanting to go back to the bus and no one else was giving the chance to speak or give their opinion of what they wanted to do. It pretty much ruined my night! A few of us who needed to go blow steam off went out as a group to the bars to see what like night life was like in San Juan Del Sur. It was a lot of fun, mostly because if gave us a chance to get to know each other better as well as experience something new. It was one of the best nights of the trip. The next day Tuesday the 17th we were given the whole day off and Turrissa, Jessica, Tiffany, Anna, and I decided that we wanted to go walk around the city and we found a place to go horse back riding, so we went. Funny thing is, i don't really like horses all that much they scary me to be honest so i was nervous but i was ready to get over my fear and ride one again. But after getting on and getting use to it, it was so much fun. Turissa's horse was so much like her it was funny. Her horse wold go up the hills fast and then slow down once we got to the top of the hill, just like T would do in soccer practice. It was one of the best times on this trip. We went up into the mountains and on the beach. It was about 3 hour trip, my butt was really sore after words but the next day was okay, my back hurt more than anything. Later that night we were on the beach and t and i were kicking the ball around when a group of boys asked us to play with them. It was a lot of fun to play with them and they were very impressed to see that we were able to hang with them. they would push us and we would push right back, and they defiantly enjoyed it, and they were impressed. Turrissa scored a goal for us and i blocked about 6 which was making them mad but at the end of the game they told us they were very impressed and glad we played with them.

  • Wednesday we got up had break fast and left for Granda, Nicaragua. It wasn't to bad of a trip. we stopped half way and walked around. It was fun to do but it was cold and raining but hey if we would of been at home, it was the best weather for soccer!! We were in the cloud forest so you cant really see anything other than clouds but it was still cool to be up there. We spent about an hour if not more there. It was also cool to see the difference between the rain forest in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. After our hike we headed to our hotel and them we got to walk around the town to find something to eat. it was nice our hotel was in the middle of the everything. So everything was in walking distance form our hotel! From here on out we have three nights left! Although im happy to get home i know i am going to miss it here!
