As mentioned earlier, today was our opportunity as a group to get rested up and to bond. We attended a great church service this morning. It was a very small church community, but they welcomed us with open arms. They all wanted to know our story and what we were doing in Dallas. Many of them thanked us for our service before we even did it! The pastor and his family were from Northeast Nebraska, so they were familiar with Northwest Iowa. Following church we headed over to Six Flags. On the way there we drove past Ranger Stadium. This wasn’t intentionally planned, but my city driving is pretty limited. Living in Alta does not prepare you for driving in eight lane traffic in a 15 passenger van. It was a huge stadium. We concluded the night with reflection on expectations and concerns for the week ahead of us. As a group we have been planning for the trip for months, so mainly we were just excited to see what Bryan’s House will have waiting for us.
