We spent the morning in the different classrooms. We have all grown to love certain rooms and ages of children. It is really touching to see how connected the members of the team have built relationships with the kids. They are all so full of love! I know it will be difficult for us to say goodbye tomorrow, but I'm so happy with what everyone has done and learned this week.
At Bryan's House, they employ a full-time nurse who oversees the daily care and medication of the children at the facility. He talked to us about the history and current state of HIV/AIDS. We learned a lot about the virus and he was great about answering our questions. We also learned about other conditions like Rett's Syndrome, Krohn's Disease, and asthma.
After lunch today, we went to the other Bryan's House location. We helped them place mulch on their playground. We spread 4 palettes of mulch in one hour!
