Bigger in Texas

10 people, one 13 hour road trip, one van. We arrived in the Dallas area on Saturday night around 8pm.  We were very lucky to have BVU alumnus Kyle and Katie Baker host us in their home for supper.  A special thanks goes out to them for the great meal.  After supper, we settled into our rental home here in Arlington, Texas (just on the outskirts of Dallas).

Today (Sunday), we had a free day.  We experienced some great Texas hospitality at church this morning and enjoyed an afternoon riding rides at Six Flags. We finished our day with a great meal and a lot of laughs around the dining room table.

Tomorrow begins our week of service with Bryan's House and we couldn't be more excited!   Bryan's House is a facility for children with HIV and other health related disabilities.

Jessica said,  "I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of the children. I'm excited to see how our group will interact with the kids and with each other."

"I'm interested to see how we will connect with the families of the children at Bryan's House," said Zach.

"I am so excited to play with the children and this population," co-site leader Caitlin said.
