Today we left for the great state of Texas. As a university we have three other trips taking off this weekend to serve communities and people all over. I am very excited to hear about their journeys this week. The van ride started out at 7am, but wasn’t complete without Pages Bakery donut-holes. We made a few stops along the way, but didn’t arrive in Dallas until 8pm. Our dear friends and alumni Katie and her husband Kyle Baker hosted us at their home for dinner. Special thanks to them, because we were just going to have pizza! We eventually settled into our rented home in Arlington. Tomorrow is a bit of down time and team building before we dive into service on Monday.
