Today was spent white water rafting along the Toro River. This was my second time white water rafting, the first time being in Colorado with my Boy Scout Troop. Today, we traversed class 3 & 4 rapids, on a scale of 1-5. Our guide's nick-name was Pinky, as in Pinky and the Brain. He was quite humorous and proved quite effective at calming some of the more nervous individuals within the raft.
It is quite the sensation, having wave after wave roll over you with little control of where you are being tossed. We had a few incidents, 3 individuals from the Buena Vista group got bucked from the raft at one time or another, but they were recovered quickly and safely suffering only some minor bruising. Almost the entire group came back with some degree of sunburn.tomorrow is a traveling day, and I am glad for it because I can already tell that I am going to be fairly sore. I am unsure if I could handle something more strenuous than a leisurely walk.
This evening we once again went down into La Fortuna, this time a little bit earlier so I did manage to snap a few pictures of the area (links are once again below, and these links include all of the previous photos and so the newest will be down at the bottom)
Pura Vida!
