Let the Packing Begin!

For the last few months, my friends and family have gotten used to hearing "I'm headed to NYC and DC!" Each time, I've given a countdown: two months, six weeks, 25 days... Well now, we're down to under a week!

In four short days, we will be flying out of Omaha heading for New York City. I don't know about the other students, but I am extremely excited for this trip. I've never been to New York City before but have been getting plenty of tips from other NYC veterans.

So far, Drs Horpedahl and Ullerich have planned for us to see the United Nations Headquarters, the Federal Reserve, Yankee Stadium, and Letterman---Everyone should tune in on January 12 to see if any of us make it on TV :) A few of us girls have looked into a few other places to visit: St. Patrick's Cathedral, Staten Island, and Carlos' Bakery! If you've ever seen TLC's Cake Boss, then you know exactly where we are headed. We figured out that to make it to the bakery, we just have to jump on the subway and head over to Hoboken, New Jersey!

The only problem laying ahead of us now is to pack. Fitting fifteen days of clothes, shoes, and everything a girl could possibly need, in one suitcase, is going to be a challenge. I'm just hoping that I won't have to resort to sitting on my suitcase to make it zip :) The next few days are going to fly by as we finish laundry, packing, and making our way to Omaha.

Make sure to check back occasionally to see exactly what we are up to during the next three weeks. Kylie and I are going to try to post a few photos of the places we see, people we meet, and crazy situations we get into :)
