Leadership & California Adventure!

| Location: Anaheim, CA, USA
So, I know I've been gone for quite some time.  After the traveling and getting settled into a new hotel, I had some trouble with the internet situation.  No problem, it's all fixed now and I'm going to update you on EVERYTHING that has been going on.  :)

My last post was actually from Friday January 6, 2012 (the time change messed that one up).

Saturday January 7, 2012:

Today our master class was with a very energetic cast member named Holly.  She is part of the Y.E.S program which taught us all about leadership; the way Walt Disney defined leadership.  We did a serious of activities throughout the park that were learning tools for the four C's: curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy.  Unfortunately for me, the very last activity of our day included an attraction that I had been avoiding.  Holly wanted to tie all four C's together by getting on Splash Mountain.  Amanda, Kayla, and I weren't quite as willing to get on as Ben and Mary Jane, but we did it.  I was very lucky that I wore my heavy cheer jacket that repels water, so I didn't get wet!  Jerry made fun of me when we saw our picture because I had my hood up and pulled so tight that I couldn't even see out of it.  Everyone thought it was really fun, even poor Holly, who got extremely soaked!

After our class, Amanda, Kayla, and I headed over to California Adventure.  It was our first time exploring the park and it seems like we accomplished so much.  Kayla and I made sure that we attended the Rock and Roll Phineas and Ferb show.  It was really cute to see all the little kids trying to dance with the characters.  While we watched the show, we ate lunch.  I FINALLY got to have a corndog... it was amazing!

We worked our way through the park hitting the rides like the ferris wheel and California Screamin'.  Both were thrilling rides and I will not be going back on that ferris wheel any time soon!  We went in one of the 'swinging gondolas', bad idea.  California Screamin' is a rollercoaster.  Kayla does not like rollercoasters and Amanda and I might have 'forgotten' to mention that it goes upside down.  She actually never asked us if it did, we just decided not to willingly tell her.  She wasn't a huge fan, but as always, she survived!
