Art and Culture in Europe

In exactly three weeks, I will be on my way to Europe with 17 students and two faculty leaders, Dr. Matt Packer and Dr. Neal McNabb (who also happens to be my husband). I wasn't originally planning to go on this trip, but, as Neal started telling me about the plans, I knew that I would be so disappointed if I missed out on this opportunity. In addition, part of my job as the Dean's Fellowship and Honors Program Coordinator is to encourage students to travel and experience the world. To date, I have never been outside of North America so I decided that it was time to take my own advice. To say that I'm excited would be a serious understatement. It is going to be a whirlwind trip, and we have a fantastic group of students going! The focus will be "art and culture", and we have so much planned during these 21 days. I'll spare you the details right now, but you can be sure that I'll have plenty to share when the time comes. For now, I'll leave you with this.....

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you did not do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~Mark Twain
